Deciding when to start drawing Social Security is a big and mostly permanent decision to make in retirement. With so many dollars at stake over the course of your lifetime, it is important to make the right choice. In this seminar, we will cover the basics of Social Security including how your benefits are calculated and what your benefits will be if you or your spouse become widowed. We will also discuss other strategies like drawing spousal benefits to increase your own, drawing spousal benefits from an ex-spouse, and take a look at how income taxes can play a role in your claiming strategy. If you are close to the age when you have to make this decision, usually between 62 and 70, please join us for this informative session.
