Why Pleasant View Communities is Partnering with FaithfulGive This Year

Pleasant View Communities is proud to participate in the FaithfulGive this year. Mark your calendars for this three-day giving event to be held Oct. 15-17, 2023.

Like many municipalities across Lancaster County, Manheim Borough is a community driven by faith, love, and the desire to touch lives in meaningful ways.

Those values align well with Pleasant View Communities, located in the heart of the Manheim community. This is why we are excited to announce our partnership this year with FaithfulGive, a non-profit, Lancaster-based giving event that incorporates Christian values into its governing principles.

FaithfulGive’s secure online giving event will launch on Sunday, Oct. 15, and conclude on Tuesday, Oct. 17.

When you give to Pleasant View Communities through FaithfulGive this year, you’ll be contributing to our current Benevolent Care needs, ensuring residents at PV have the comfort and peace of mind of knowing that comprehensive, quality health care will be afforded to them even if their financial resources become depleted. Last year, Plesant View provided more than $3.5 million in unfunded costs for those in this situation. The promise of receiving care regardless of economic circumstance has been kept for decades thanks to the generosity of our Benevolent Care donors.

To fully appreciate the significance of the collaboration between PV and Faithful Give, it helps to have a deeper understanding of the connections between our mission and theirs and why we felt it important to serve as one of their inaugural Kingdom Causes.

A Meeting of the Missions

The mission of FaithfulGive revolves around the beautiful vision of personifying Jesus’ love to the Lancaster community. They strive to connect biblically faithful donors with organizations that carry the same torch of faith. Through these connections, they believe in fostering joy-filled partnerships that work towards redemptive causes, aiming to heal and uplift the community in myriad ways.

Similarly, at Pleasant View Communities, our goal has always been to be a beacon of love, support, and transformation. As our mission states, “We aspire to provide healthy, vibrant living – full of joy, meaning and purpose – through passionate, Christ-like service.”

Embracing the Principles of Purpose and Service

Service is at the heart of what we do here at Pleasant View. It’s what we call our “Perspective of Purpose,” an intentional phrase built around the ideal of service—the service we provide to our residents, staff, and communities, and the service our residents, staff, and communities provide to the world.

In participating in FaithfulGive’s first event, we’re harnessing the synergy of many like-minded organizations that share a vision, thereby amplifying our efforts in the community.

It’s impossible to overstate the significance of shared beliefs when entities like ours come together for a common purpose. From our mutual belief in the Apostle’s creed to valuing the Bible’s authority as the inerrant word of God, the foundational beliefs of FaithfulGive and Pleasant View Communities provide a powerful platform for our collaboration.

Respect for Diverse Views

The world is a vast tapestry of beliefs, views, and experiences. While standing firm in their beliefs, FaithfulGive recognizes that people of good faith and character may hold different perspectives. Their respect for these varied viewpoints ensures an environment of understanding, openness, and collaboration.

This stance resonates with PV, where we value and respect the diverse voices within our community, believing that they enrich our collective experience.

Jonathan Hollinger, president and CEO of Pleasant View communities, said PV shares this approach.

We value and respect the diverse voices within our community because they enrich our collective experience,” Jonathan said. “Our participation with Faithful Give this year represents more than just an organizational collaboration. It signifies a merging of values based on Christian ideals that help us all work toward a more faith-filled future for our community.”
